Documentary on 650th Parkash Purb of Guru Ravidas Ji Screened in Three Villages

A special 30-minute documentary dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj was screened on LED screens in villages Ghogha, Ghogha Kheri and Machhipur in Kharar block as part of a special initiative by the Punjab Government.

The documentary aims to familiarise people with the life, philosophy and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and his message of human welfare, equality and social justice.

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj continue to inspire society. She emphasised that Guru Sahib advocated equality, mutual respect, hard work, love and brotherhood, inspiring people to rise above caste-based and social differences and treat every human being with dignity and respect.

She described the Punjab Government’s initiative to screen the documentary in villages as commendable, stating that it provides rural residents with an opportunity to learn about the life and spiritual and social contributions of Guru Sahib.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that it is the collective responsibility of society to adopt Guru Sahib’s teachings in daily life and pass them on to the younger generation. She added that such initiatives play a significant role in strengthening mutual understanding, social harmony and unity.

The initiative marks an important step towards spreading the message of humanity, equality and social justice preached by Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and encouraging people to incorporate his teachings into their lives.
