Mohali :
The Aam Aadmi Party today organised district-level protests across Punjab, including a major demonstration in Phase 7, Mohali, over an alleged viral video involving Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
AAP leaders claimed the video was deliberately circulated to tarnish the image of the Chief Minister and defame him politically. The party accused the Shiromani Akali Dal of being behind the controversy and staged protests against the opposition party across the state.
Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema also joined the protest in Mohali and launched a sharp attack on the Akali Dal. He alleged that attempts were being made to malign the Chief Minister’s image for political gains.
Cheema said the people of Punjab understood such political tactics and asserted that such efforts would not succeed. He further accused opposition parties of creating controversies to divert attention from public issues.
The viral video controversy has intensified the political confrontation between the AAP and the Akali Dal in Punjab.
