Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and as per the directions of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, a special felicitation ceremony was organised at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Gharaun to honour quality-assured health centres and officials.
The event was presided over by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana, while Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain attended as the chief guest.
Health centres recognised
The ceremony honoured several Ayushman Arogya Kendras of the Gharaun block—Batta, Devigarh, Chandon, Nawan Shahr Badali, Kurdi, and Garanga—for achieving the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, marking excellence in delivering quality healthcare services.
Officials and staff felicitated
District Nodal Officer Dr. Ritu, district team member Rupinder Kaur, and Block Nodal Officer Dr. Hardeep Kaur were also felicitated with trophies and appreciation certificates for their dedicated efforts and contribution.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain was presented a memento in recognition of her continuous support and guidance.
Remarks by officials
Addressing the gathering, SMO Dr. Khurana appreciated the collective efforts of the entire staff, stating that the achievement was the result of teamwork. Dr. Sangeeta Jain said that under the vision of the Punjab Government, world-class healthcare services are being delivered even in rural areas through these centres.
A large number of medical officers, nurses, and paramedical staff members were present at the event.
