BJP to Contest Punjab Assembly Elections Alone on Its Own Strength: Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramuwalia

Mohali :

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Central Committee member Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramuwalia said that the BJP is fully prepared to contest the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections independently, on its own strength.

Speaking to select media persons in Mohali, she said the party’s central leadership has clearly directed the Punjab BJP to prepare strongly for all 117 Assembly constituencies.

Bibi Ramuwalia said that BJP Central Organisation General Secretary B.L. Santosh has also made it clear that the party will prepare to contest the elections independently in Punjab, relying on its organisational strength. She said the party is focusing on strengthening its organisation at the grassroots level, activating workers in every constituency and increasing direct engagement with the people.

She alleged that the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was deliberately creating confusion regarding a possible alliance with the BJP. According to her, statements by SAD leaders were aimed at misleading their workers and the public. She claimed that a major section of the SAD cadre is increasingly inclined towards joining the BJP, which has created apprehension within the Akali Dal.

Bibi Ramuwalia reiterated that the central leadership’s position on Punjab is clear and that the party has been asked to prepare for all 117 Assembly seats with full strength. She urged BJP workers not to be influenced by what she termed misleading statements regarding a possible alliance.

She said the people of Punjab are now looking beyond traditional political promises and are seeking a strong, honest and development-oriented political alternative. She added that the BJP is working seriously on issues concerning the people of Punjab and that the party organisation is becoming stronger with each passing day.

She further claimed that public support for the BJP is increasing across different parts of Punjab, with people associated with various political parties joining the BJP after being influenced by its policies and the welfare schemes of the Central Government.

Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramuwalia said that the Punjab BJP would intensify organisational activities in every Assembly constituency in the coming days. The party’s booth-level structure would be strengthened, while greater outreach would be undertaken among youth, women, farmers, traders, industrialists and other sections of society to understand their concerns.

She said the BJP would enter the electoral battlefield in Punjab not with the support of any other party, but on the strength of its workers, organisational structure and the confidence of the people of Punjab. She added that the party has already begun preparations for all 117 Assembly constituencies with full force.
