Mohali:
The Model Career Centre (MCC), SAS Nagar, organised a Mega Job Fair at the Community Centre, Derabassi, under the leadership of MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa.
A total of 144 candidates participated in the job fair, where candidates who had passed Class 10, 12 and graduation were considered for various job opportunities. Of these, 98 candidates were selected for the second round.
Several companies and recruitment agencies participated in the fair, offering opportunities across different sectors. These included CSC Centre, NIIT Limited, ICICI Bank, ITM, 360 Bytes, Danone Nutricia International, Airtel Xstream Fiber, TCS iON, Quess, Kaveri Services, Protalk Solution, Riseup HR Services, Gates India, Blinkit, Flipkart, GI Group, Curegers Healthcare, Apollo Pharmacies, Circle of Crest, Adecco and Staffing Titans, among others.
MCC Young Professional Rosie Singla provided information about the participating employers and recruitment process.
The event was also attended by Deputy Director, DBEE Jalandhar Neelam Mahe, EGTO Sukhman Mann, Deputy CEO Sukhman Bath and other DBEE officials and staff.
Addressing the candidates, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa encouraged them to make the most of such employment opportunities and continue developing their skills to secure suitable jobs.
The organisers said such job fairs provide candidates with direct access to employers and help connect local youth with employment opportunities.
