Mohali:
Punjab government employees and pensioners staged a protest against the non-payment of pending instalments of Dearness Allowance (DA), demanding the immediate release of 18% outstanding DA along with the resolution of other long-pending service-related issues.
Employees of S.M.H.S. Government College, Mohali, organised the protest and raised concerns over the delay in clearing their pending DA dues. They demanded that the outstanding amount be released without further delay and their other service-related grievances be addressed.
The protesters said employees had been waiting for the settlement of their financial and service-related demands for a long time and were now seeking concrete action from the state government instead of assurances.
The protest has added pressure on the Punjab Government to address the employees’ concerns through dialogue and take steps to resolve their pending financial and service-related issues.
