Rotary Club Silver City Mohali celebrated the traditional Teeyan festival at Sector 70 with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The event was organised under the leadership of club president Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Gill and witnessed enthusiastic participation by the women members of the club.
The celebrations reflected the rich colours of Punjabi culture and traditions. The women took part in various cultural activities, including Giddha, Boliyan and other entertaining performances, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.
The members also shared their happiness with one another and highlighted the importance of preserving Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. The event provided an opportunity for the women to come together, enjoy traditional festivities and strengthen their bond of friendship and togetherness.
Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Gill said that Teeyan is an important Punjabi festival associated with women’s happiness, culture and traditions. She added that such celebrations play an important role in keeping the rich heritage of Punjab alive and strengthening social bonds.
