The District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE)/Model Career Centre (MCC), Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, in collaboration with Amity University Punjab, successfully organised “Chetna – School Students’ Conclave 2026” from October 5 to 9 at the university campus. The event marked the second phase of the five-day Chetna programme and witnessed participation from over 1,400 students representing 20 private schools.

The primary objective of the programme was to provide students with accurate career information, professional guidance and awareness about future educational and employment opportunities, enabling them to choose suitable career paths according to their interests, abilities and potential.

During the programme, students attended sessions on career counselling, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging career opportunities, identifying personal strengths and career interests, the changing impact of technology on employment, career prospects in law, the journey from an LLB degree to legal practice, and cybersecurity.

Several experts and officials shared their knowledge and experiences with the students. These included DSP Varinder Khosa; District Employment Officer Sukhman Mann; M.K. Bhardwaj, LDM, Mohali; ASI Sukhbir Singh from Cyber Security; Nabiha, Career Counsellor; Sunil Saini, Assistant Director; Dr Punit Sharma, Professor and Additional Pro Vice-Chancellor; and members of the Amity University team.

The speakers and career experts encouraged students to identify their skills and interests, stay updated with emerging technological developments and prepare themselves for the demands of the future. They also highlighted the importance of making informed career choices with appropriate guidance and a clear understanding of personal goals.

The initiative by DBEE/MCC, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, represents a significant step towards promoting career awareness among students and preparing them for future challenges and opportunities. The programme reflected the core objective of “Chetna”—creating awareness, inspiring young minds and providing them with the right direction for their careers.
