Tangori Gets Its 10th Mohalla Clinic to Expand Access to Healthcare

Mohali:

MLA Kulwant Singh inaugurated the 10th Mohalla Clinic of the SAS Nagar Assembly Constituency at village Tangori, highlighting the Punjab Government’s efforts to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to residents.
Speaking to reporters, Kulwant Singh said that with the opening of 154 new Mohalla Clinics across Punjab, the total number of clinics in the state had reached 1,245. He said the centres provide 107 types of medicines and 47 types of diagnostic tests free of cost, enabling people to access basic healthcare facilities near their homes.
The MLA said the new clinic would benefit residents of Tangori and nearby villages by reducing the need to travel long distances for medical consultations, tests and medicines. He added that the government was also focusing on education, employment and sports development. He highlighted the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, which provides cashless treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family annually.
Kulwant Singh further claimed that the state government had provided around 80,000 government jobs to young people without recommendations or bribery. He also referred to the provision of 600 units of free electricity to domestic consumers every two months and the development of village-level sports stadiums.
The MLA said public participation was essential for the effective implementation of welfare schemes. Several Aam Aadmi Party leaders, village representatives, health officials and other dignitaries attended the inauguration.
