
Mohali : The Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee of Government Medical College and Hospital Sector 32 (GMCH-32) organised a grand welcome ceremony for newly appointed Medical Superintendent Professor Vishal Guglani today after he formally assumed charge of his new role. Members of the GMCH Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee, along with representatives of several staff unions and departments, gathered at the hospital premises to congratulate the new Medical Superintendent. On the occasion, committee members presented a bouquet to Prof. Guglani and extended their best wishes for his tenure. Employees from a wide range of departments participated in the event, reflecting the collective enthusiasm of the hospital workforce. Among those present were security staff, ward attendants, paramedical workers, lift operators, public health staff, drivers, data entry operators, file restorers, grid Aashadeep security personnel, sanitation workers from the Mental Health Institute, tailoring and catering staff, and employees from the AC plant, gas plant, sewerage, and maintenance departments.Addressing the gathering, Professor Vishal Guglani expressed gratitude to the staff for the warm welcome. He emphasised the importance of teamwork in ensuring high-quality healthcare services and said he would work closely with all employees to improve patient care and hospital services. Prof. Guglani highlighted that the hospital administration would focus on strengthening coordination among departments to ensure smooth functioning and better facilities for patients visiting the hospital.
He added that the workforce looks forward to working under Prof. Guglani’s leadership and hopes the institution will achieve new milestones during his tenure.
The event concluded with committee members reiterating their commitment to cooperation and collective efforts for the development of GMCH-32 and the improvement of healthcare services for patients in the region.
