CBHI Team Reviews Health Services Expresses Satisfaction

Mohali : A high-level team from the Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI) conducted a detailed review of health services across government health institutions in Mohali district, expressing satisfaction with the overall functioning and implementation of various health schemes.
The three-member team, led by Deputy Director Diksha Sachdeva, evaluated healthcare delivery, record management, and the execution of national and state health programmes. The objective was to assess the efficiency and quality of services being provided to the public.
During the visit, the team held a meeting with senior medical officers at the Civil Surgeon’s office. They reviewed records related to non-communicable diseases, birth and death registrations, and the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), ensuring that data systems were accurate and well-maintained.
The officials appreciated the efforts of the district health department and praised the team led by Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain for effective service delivery and proper record management. They noted that health schemes were being implemented efficiently in line with guidelines.
The CBHI team also offered suggestions to further strengthen healthcare services and improve monitoring systems. As part of the visit, they inspected the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Derabassi and interacted with staff.
District Immunization Officer Dr. Girish Dogra, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Tamanna Singhal, and other officials were present. CBHI, under the Government of India, serves as the nodal agency for health data management and plays a key role in strengthening public health systems.
