Chandigarh :

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, alleging that it has lost its moral authority due to rising lawlessness and anarchy in the state.
Reacting to recent incidents, including violence inside Kapurthala jail and the killing of ASI Joga Singh in Amritsar, Warring said the government has “abdicated its authority” and criminals are operating freely across Punjab.
He referred to the riot and arson inside Kapurthala jail on Saturday night, claiming that the incident exposed serious failures in the state’s law and order system. According to him, the violence inside a high-security jail shows that the government’s control “does not exist even within prison premises.”
Warring also expressed concern over the murder of ASI Joga Singh while he was on duty in Amritsar, stating that if police personnel are not safe, it reflects a deep sense of insecurity among citizens.
The Congress leader said the government must either take strict action to restore law and order or “step aside,” adding that the current situation has led to fear among people and emboldened criminal elements in the state.
