NCC Cadet Sahil Choudhary of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) has brought pride to his institution by winning a Silver Medal in the Open Prone category at the Inter Group Shooting Competition Camp (IGSSC) 2026.
The prestigious championship was organized by the NCC Directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh (PHHP&C) and featured top marksmen from eight NCC groups across the region. Cadet Choudhary secured second place after demonstrating exceptional precision, focus and shooting skills under intense competition.
The achievement follows months of rigorous training, including extensive practice in breath control, trigger discipline and focus-building exercises designed to enhance performance in high-pressure environments.
Congratulating the cadet, Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of GJIMT, said Sahil’s success reflects the values of dedication, discipline and perseverance promoted through the institution’s NCC programme. She described the achievement as a matter of immense pride for the entire GJIMT family.
