College Hosts International Seminar on Library Management Practice

Chandigarh :

The Library of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, organised an online international seminar on the theme “Library Management Practices: Then and Now” on June 30, 2026, via Google Meet and YouTube live streaming.
The seminar featured technical sessions by experts including Dr. Priyanwada Wanigasooriya from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka; Dr. Venkata Rao Pokuri from MANIT Bhopal; and Dr. Preeti Sharda from Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Chandigarh.
The event saw participation from over 250 librarians, academicians, researchers and students from India and abroad, focusing on emerging trends in digital transformation, knowledge organisation and evolving roles of library professionals.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed each lecture, allowing participants to engage directly with the resource persons, making the programme more interactive and informative.
The organisers thanked the management of the Sikh Educational Society for their support, while Principal Dr. Jaswinder Kaur appreciated the library team for successfully conducting the international academic event.
