Kulwant Singh Continues Public Outreach, Unveils Projects in Three Villages

MLA Kulwant Singh continued his public outreach programmes across the Mohali constituency by visiting villages Manak Majra, Bairopur and Bhago Majra, where he interacted with residents, listened to their grievances and announced several grants for development works.

Speaking to mediapersons during the visit, Kulwant Singh said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has fulfilled the promises made to the people and accelerated development works across the state during the past four years. He claimed that people are satisfied with the government’s performance and that all major commitments made to the public have been delivered.

The MLA announced multiple development projects for Manak Majra village, including ₹5 lakh for the construction of a lintel for the Scheduled Caste Dharamshala, ₹5 lakh for repair and paver walk work at the General Dharamshala, ₹2 lakh for streets and drains, installation of three open gyms, ₹2 lakh for needy families, ₹30 lakh for development of a sports ground and ₹4 lakh for laying a pipeline for irrigation of Panchayati land.

For Bairopur village, he announced ₹7 lakh for streets, drains and streetlights, while ₹2 lakh would be spent on installing dustbins and convex mirrors.

In Bhago Majra village, ₹23.60 lakh has been allocated for a library, ₹4 lakh for streetlights, ₹3 lakh for a water tanker and ₹1 lakh for a community centre. A sports ground is also being constructed at a cost of ₹25 lakh. Besides this, houses will also be constructed for five needy families.

Kulwant Singh stated that the Punjab Government remains fully committed to public welfare and development. He highlighted that more than 68,000 youths have been provided government jobs on merit, 85 percent of households are receiving free electricity benefits and women welfare schemes launched by the government have started benefiting people. He also said that continuous efforts are being made to strengthen the health and education sectors in the state.

Several local leaders and dignitaries, including Sarpanch Paramjit Kaur, Senior Deputy Mayor R.P. Sharma, Deputy Mayor Harpal Singh Channa, AAP leader Kuldeep Singh Samana, former Sarpanch Avtar Singh Mauli, Ravinder Singh Bindra and Tarlochan Singh Matour, were present during the programmes.
