The Central Sanatan Dharam Mandir Kalyan Samiti (Regd.) held a meeting at Shri Vaishno Mata Mandir, Phase 3B1, to finalise arrangements for the upcoming Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations.
It was decided that Janmashtami will be celebrated with religious fervour at temples across the city on September 4, 2026. A grand Shobha Yatra will be taken out on September 2, starting at 1 pm from Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Phase 11, and concluding at Shri Durga Mata Mandir, Phase 6.
The procession will feature colourful tableaux depicting the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. Women’s Sankirtan Mandalis from various temples will participate and present devotional bhajans, creating a spiritual atmosphere.
Samiti General Secretary Manoj Kumar Aggarwal appealed to temple committees, devotees and residents to participate in large numbers and extend cooperation for the peaceful and disciplined conduct of the Shobha Yatra.
Representatives of several temples and religious organisations attended the meeting and assured their full cooperation in making the celebrations a grand success.
