Mohali:
In a commendable initiative aimed at empowering underprivileged children, Tynor Badminton Club, Sector 56, Mohali, is providing regular sports, fitness and study classes to children from the slum area of Balongi.
The initiative seeks to provide these children with a safe and positive environment where they can learn, play, remain physically active and develop confidence. With adequate space and sports facilities available at the club, the children are being encouraged to participate in badminton and other physical activities while also focusing on their studies.
The club also makes regular arrangements for healthy refreshments for the children and extends support by providing essential sports requirements, including shoes, sports dresses and other necessary equipment, wherever possible.
The initiative goes beyond sports training, with the objective of instilling discipline, improving fitness, encouraging education and creating better opportunities for children who may otherwise have limited access to such facilities.
Coach Akash Walia said that every child deserves an opportunity to dream, learn and grow. Through sustained support and guidance, they hope to help these young children build confidence, develop healthy habits and move towards a brighter and more secure future.
The initiative reflects the spirit of community service and demonstrates how collective efforts can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children from economically weaker sections of society.
