SIR-2026 Claims, Objections Disposal Process Underway

As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal, IAS, the process of disposing of claims and objections received during the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 is underway in the Dera Bassi Assembly constituency.The third phase was conducted from August 13 to September 12, during which claims and objections were received from the public. SDM-cum-ERO Dera Bassi Amit Gupta said these claims and objections would be disposed of as per the prescribed schedule by October 8, 2026.
He said necessary information related to the claims and objections is being regularly shared with recognised political parties to ensure transparency and public participation in the electoral process.
The latest lists related to Forms 6, 7 and 8 have been provided to political parties through Forms 9, 10, 11 and 11-A. Weekly meetings are also being held with recognised political parties to share information and discuss the claims and objections.
