Shiv Sena Hindustan Holds Press Conference in Mohali, Intensifies Preparations for August 30 Trishul March

Mohali :

Shiv Sena Hindustan has intensified preparations for the proposed Punjab-level Trishul March from Mohali on August 30. A meeting of office-bearers of the Mohali and Chandigarh units was held in Mohali under the leadership of the organisation’s national president Pawan Gupta. A press conference was organised after the meeting, where Gupta shared details of the organisation’s demands and the proposed programme.

Pawan Gupta said Shiv Sena Hindustan has been raising religious, social and political issues concerning the Hindu community in Punjab for a long time. He claimed that lack of adequate attention to these issues has led to dissatisfaction among sections of the Hindu community.

He said Trishul marches and public outreach programmes are being organised in different districts of Punjab in connection with these demands. The organisation is preparing to hold a large-scale Trishul March from Mohali on August 30, through which it intends to submit its demands to the Punjab government. Gupta said the march would proceed towards the Chief Minister’s residence.

Demands to Be Submitted to Punjab Government

Gupta said the memorandum to be submitted to the Punjab government would include demands for a special financial package for Hindu families affected by terrorism, minority status and related rights for the Hindu community in Punjab, proper arrangements for the management of ancient Hindu temples, and a judicial inquiry into killings that took place during the period of terrorism in Punjab.

The organisation has also demanded strict laws against cow slaughter and cow smuggling, establishment of a national memorial for people who lost their lives fighting terrorism, and legal protection concerning Hindu religious symbols.

Other demands include the establishment of boards and recruitment of teachers for the promotion of Hindi and Sanskrit, stricter provisions against religious conversions, and the formation of a pilgrimage institution board for the development of the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya Ji at Ghadam in Patiala, along with the construction of a grand temple complex.

The organisation has also sought the formation of a Traders’ Board to safeguard the interests of traders in Punjab.

Pawan Gupta said the organisation has been conducting public outreach programmes across different districts to mobilise support for its demands. He claimed that a large number of people from the Hindu community are expected to participate in the August 30 march.

Several office-bearers and activists attended the meeting and press conference, including Akhilesh Singh, Mohali District In-charge; B.N. Giri, District President; Ashwani Chaudhary; Kiran Jain, Mohali Women’s Wing President; Deepak Jain; Ved Prakash Vishwakarma; and Punjab General Secretary Krishna Sharma.
