In a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration, the School of Management Studies at CGC University Mohali signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Young Indians during the university’s “Management Summit 2026” held on campus.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Uma P. Jaidev, Dean of the School of Management Studies, and Mr. Akshit Garg, Director of Core Metal Crafts Limited and Chairman of Young Indians (Chandigarh Chapter), in the presence of Dr. Harleen Kaur Dhillon, faculty members, students, and industry experts.
Under the collaboration, students will receive practical exposure through leadership programmes, networking events, entrepreneurship initiatives, social impact activities, and skill development sessions organised through the Young Indians platform. The partnership will also provide opportunities for direct interaction with industry professionals from diverse sectors.
Students welcomed the initiative enthusiastically, calling it a valuable platform to gain practical knowledge, build professional networks, and strengthen their corporate readiness.
Speaking at the event, Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director of CGC University Mohali, said the university has always focused on the holistic development of students beyond academics. He added that innovation, experiential learning, and leadership development remain key priorities of the institution.
The School of Management Studies thanked all dignitaries, representatives of Young Indians, faculty members, and students for contributing to the success of the event. The university stated that the collaboration further reinforces its commitment to preparing students as future leaders, innovators, and responsible professionals.
