Service centers in Derabassi constituency have remained shut for the past five days due to an ongoing employees’ strike, causing significant inconvenience to the public. Residents from remote areas are being forced to return without completing their work as multiple government services have come to a halt.
Essential services such as birth and death certificates, caste and residence certificates, pension processing for senior citizens, and Aadhaar updates have been severely affected. Despite the intense heat, people continue to visit the centers, only to find them closed due to the strike.
Locals have expressed frustration over the lack of alternative arrangements by the administration and have demanded an immediate resolution to the employees’ issues or temporary measures to ensure that essential public services resume without further disruption.
