Mohali :
The sixth bus under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Bus Scheme was flagged off from Sector 66, Mohali, by MLA Kulwant Singh. Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including constituency coordinator and State Awardee Phoolraj Singh, Gurudwara Committee President Manjit Singh, Temple Committee President Gopal Sharma, Block President Arun Goyal, former councillor Rajni Goyal, Krishan Lal Kapoor, and Pitambar Ji.
Speaking to the media, MLA Kulwant Singh said that under the scheme, one bus is being dispatched every third day from each of the 117 Assembly constituencies across Punjab for pilgrimage. He stated that the Punjab government is bearing the entire cost of travel, accommodation, and meals for the devotees. Each bus is also accompanied by a guide and a medical officer to ensure the safety and convenience of the pilgrims.
He expressed gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal for launching the initiative for the people of the state.
Congratulating the devotees departing from Mohali, the MLA prayed that their wishes be fulfilled and said the pilgrimage not only provides financial assistance but also strengthens social harmony. He noted that while people may manage travel expenses on their own, traveling together in a spiritual environment fosters unity, brotherhood, and a sense of community among participants.
Kulwant Singh further mentioned that registration is underway across Punjab for the ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme launched by the Aam Aadmi Party government. Camps have been set up at various locations to expedite the process so that eligible citizens can avail the benefits at the earliest. Party workers and supporters are also assisting by preparing detailed reports from different wards and villages and submitting them to the concerned departments.
He added that cultural programs are also being organized in various cities as part of efforts to transform Punjab into a vibrant and prosperous state.
